A video about maned wolves
If I were to choose a favorite mammal, it would be the maned wolf. I know the capybaras are all the rage all over the world for some reason, but among the South American fauna, I think maned wolves are prettier and cooler. I've never seen one up close because they are nocturnal, very shy, and the region I'm from was mostly deforested centuries ago to make place for large-scale plantations, with only a few pockets of the original biomes left here and there. Maybe someday I'll have the chance to see one in person, but it won't happen in my hometown.
Anyway, here's the video. It's pretty informative and might explain why I think they are so cool. And, c'mon, look at that fur, it is gorgeous.
